Community Day 2023
On Friday our colleagues worked their socks off doing groundworks, painting, DIY and workshops with children and elderly at our community day volunteering event.
On Friday 20th June we closed our factory and offices for the day and headed out to volunteer at various local projects and charities for our annual TNGB Community Day.
It was a huge privilege to support in some small way the following orgaisations and projects
• Our teams put in hard work doing DIY, ground clearance, pond dredging, painting, weeding and tidying at several projects including: Go Beyond (a charity that provides respite breaks and outdoor experiences for children); Just for Dogs rescue centre; Ashbourne Memorial Gardens; Ashbourne Methodist Church & Youth Centre.
• We transformed the outside space at St John's Church hall to create a mini allotment for ACE Youth Trust which is a charity that supports young teenagers. We also painted the hall interior.
• We helped to run a skills workshop at Hilltop Primary school on making healthy eating and exercise choices which was a lot of fun.
• We spent time socialising with the residents at Ashbourne Lodge Care home taking part in games, crafts, and gardening activities.
All of these charities and organisations do such important work supporting mental health, physical health, spiritual welbeing for people and animals in our community.
