Selko-TMR is a non-corrosive liquid product that is highly effective at preserving total mixed rations, processed feeds and silages by controlling aerobic spoilage, and therefore temperature, caused by microbial activity. Controlling aerobic spoilage allows the nutritive value of the feed to be maintained which supports palatability and feed intake patterns. Selko-TMR has been shown to prevent substantial increases in the temperature of TMR.
Product application
Application rates are influenced by a variety of factors. It is important that these factors are taken into consideration when determining suitable application rates:
Ambient temperature and humidity
Moisture levels
Feed material microbial profile
Typical application rates to achieve sufficient preservation are 1.0–2.0kg Selko-TMR per 1000kg of feed. A mixing time of approximately 5-7 minutes post product addition ensures a uniform mix.
